The appointment of Jean-Jacques Picarda
Trained as an engineer and graduated from UTC and CNAM, Jean-Jacques Picarda has spent his entire career in the field of electronics. In 2001, he joined the Industrialization department of Matra Électronique, where he was responsible for six years. In 2017, he joined the Business Department as a Market Leader. Appointed to the Strategy and Development department in 2020, he is now completing his career by serving as General Manager of Matra Électronique.
He succeeds Julien Marie, No. 2 in the Choiseul Hauts-de-France 2023 ranking, after more than six years of commitment and involvement to the company. During his various functions, Julien was able to bring the necessary impetus to the realization of the HORIZON project while developing the company’s activities and its organization. We warmly salute his journey and wish him just as much success in the future.
It is in a context of industrial transfer that this new mandate begins. Since 1975, Matra Électronique has designed, manufactured and maintained high-precision electronic equipment and tools in operational conditions. Its production is intended for the defense, space and advanced technology markets. The company currently employs 420 employees and will achieve a turnover of €81.6 million in 2022. In order to continue its sustainable growth, the company is equipping itself with a new innovative, agile and responsible industrial tool. The completion of construction works and the gradual transfer of activities will begin in 2024.
